Whole Person Dental Care Internship

A Private Dental Practice with an Internship Program

It evolved from the pandemic shutdown of dental practices…

First

In 2019, a pre-dental student seeking work inspired Dr. Wilson to create an internship program. This initial collaboration laid the groundwork for what would become a valuable opportunity for students to contribute to the practice while gaining hands-on experience.

By January 2020, Dr. Wilson and the first intern worked together to recruit new candidates for the next internship cycle. They also began planning projects and events to further the program's impact, fostering a vision for continued growth.

The onset of the pandemic presented unexpected challenges, requiring the program to transition to a remote model. Dr. Wilson adapted quickly, offering students an innovative way to continue learning and gaining experience despite the circumstances.

Today, the internship program has become a successful initiative, providing students with practical skills, mentorship, and the opportunity to grow professionally. It remains a cornerstone of Whole Person Dental Care’s commitment to education and development.

About the Internship

Geared toward pre-dental students and those in a gap year, the WPDC Internship offers 230 hours of remote, hands-on experience in dentistry. Interns work directly with Dr. Pamela Wilson and her staff via Zoom, making meaningful contributions that benefit the practice while expanding their knowledge of the dental field. This program fosters a positive, collaborative, and wellness-focused environment where interns are encouraged to grow, thrive, and make a lasting impact on Whole Person Dental Care. We maintain a strong focus on productivity while promoting well-being through our Internship Wellness initiative.

We are looking for inquisitive and enthusiastic interns who would like to contribute to a positive and collaborative environment where we help each individual thrive!
